Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy Farooq Abdullah was on Friday hospitalised here after a bout of vomiting but was discharged after three hours.
The 73-year-old Minister was on his way to Kala Kendra to attend a function in Vikram Chowk area of the city when he fell ill. He was rushed to the Gandhi Nagar Hospital, officials said.
Tests were conducted on Dr. Abdullah, doctors attending on him said, adding he was put on drips immediately. His condition is stable.
Emerging from the hospital, Dr. Abdullah, flanked by his son and J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, told reporters, “I'm still young and healthy.”
Mr. Omar Abdullah had flown to Srinagar from Jammu to see his father.
