Emigration clearance to Libya banned

The government has banned emigration clearance to Libya following instances of non-payment of salaries to several Indian workers by Libyan companies and agents.

No new cases would be entertained after clearing applications up to June 30, an official release said.

The ban would also cover nurses, it clarified.
