A petition to initiate contempt action against JNUSU President Kanhaiya Kumar, former DU lecturer SAR Geelani and a few others was filed in the Supreme Court on Tuesday for allegedly terming the execution of Afzal Guru as “judicial killing”. The plea refers to SC verdict, pronounced on August 04, 2005 in the case, by which Afzal Guru was given death penalty for conspiring to attack Parliament.
