CRPF rushes its personnel to Mangalore

Nearly 600 CRPF personnel along with a team of doctors from the force have been rushed to Mangalore where an Air India aircraft crashed today.

According to CRPF officials, two companies comprising 300 personnel each and a team of doctors have been sent from Paringam in Kerala. One company has been sent from Bangalore.

They said the men have been rushed to control the crowd at the crash site and outside hospitals.

All but seven people on an Air India Express plane from Dubai with 166 people on board are feared dead when the Boeing aircraft crashed and caught fire today after it overshot the brand new runway while landing at the Mangalore airport.
