CRPF jawan killed in Gadchiroli encounter

One CRPF jawan was killed and five others were injured in an encounter between a team of the Central Reserve Police Force and Naxalites in Maharashtra's Gadchiroli district on Tuesday afternoon, Superintendent of Police Veeresh Prabhu told The Hindu . Some casualties among the Naxalites have also been reported but the police could not give details as they were still assessing information on the operation which, according to preliminary accounts, took place in the remote forests of the Kurkheda division around 2 p.m.
