By 8 p.m. on Saturday, 72 of the 158 bodies had been identified, Director-General of and Inspector-General of Police Ajai Kumar Singh told presspersons here on Saturday.

“If all bodies are not identified by Sunday, we have made arrangements for DNA testing,” said Mr. Singh. Jija Hari Singh, DGP, Home Guards and Fire Services, said that the black box had not yet been found, and that officials were still looking for it. The coordinated efforts of the district administration, police, fire services, and scores of civilians resulted in the recovery of all 158 bodies from the wreck of the plane near Kenjar village. However, several have not been identified or claimed. The bodies of the dead have been sent to nine hospitals in the city.
