The Bombay High Court on Monday posted the appeal against conviction of actor Salman Khan for directions to July 1.

A single Bench of Justice A.R. Joshi, which took up the matter, noted that the paperwork in the case was incomplete and gave the defence two weeks to furnish all the documents before the court.

Much of the evidence in the case and related documents have yet to brought from the trial court.

On July 1, the High Court is expected to fix a date for hearing the appeal. The 49-year-old actor has appealed against the order of the trial court, which on May 6 convicted and sentenced him to five years rigorous imprisonment in the 2002 hit-and-run case.
