In a goodwill gesture, India on Tuesday repatriated 19 Pakistani prisoners, after releasing them from the Bhuj jail.

Eighteen of them were fishermen, who were arrested nine months ago after they had allegedly fished in Indian waters of the Arabian Sea. Shyed Mohammed, who was arrested over two years ago at Munabao in Rajasthan for carrying fake Indian currency notes, was also repatriated.

They crossed over to Pakistan through the Attari/Wagah border, with the help of documents issued by the Pakistan High Commission in Delhi.
