A total of 18 Chairman-cum-Managing-Directors post in top Central Public Sector Undertakings — including NHPC and National Minerals Development Corporation — are lying vacant, the Rajya Sabha was informed on Thursday.
“At present 18 posts of CMDs of Central PSUs of Schedule ‘A’ and ‘B’ are vacant,” Minister of State for Personnel V. Narayanasamy said in a written reply.
Those PSUs where the CMDs posts are lying vacant include Minerals Metal Trading Corporation, National Fertilisers Ltd, National Hydro-electric Power Corporation, NMDC, Shipping Corporation of India, National Textiles Corporation and Power Finance Corporation.
