Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Ravi Shankar Prasad on Friday said that Indian diplomat Devyani Khobragade issue could have been handled better and effectively by the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government by proper management of foreign policy.

He told journalists in Guwahati on Friday that the BJP does not appreciate the manner in which Indian diplomat Devyani Khobragade issue was handled.

“It could have been handled better, effectively by proper management of foreign policy,” he added.

Mr. Prasad was also critical of UPA’s foreign policy. “The foreign policy of the UPA has been disastrous, be it our relation with the Pakistan, China or the U.S.,” he said.
