In a strong rebuttal to Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan’s address to the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), India said Mr. Khan had engaged in “hate speech”. “Unfortunately, what we heard today from Prime Minister Imran Khan of Pakistan was a callous portrayal of the world in binary terms, ‘us’ versus ‘them’, rich versus poor, North versus South, developed versus developing, Muslims versus others,” First Secretary in India’s Permanent Mission to the UN Vidisha Maitra said on Friday night. She was speaking during the minutes allocated to India for its right of reply.

Unnao rape: court asks Apple for data on Sengar’s location
A Delhi court on Saturday asked American technology giant Apple Inc to furnish by October 9 details of former BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar’s location on the day he allegedly raped a 17-year-old girl from Unnao. District judge Dharmesh Sharma, holding in-chamber proceedings, gave the manufacturer of the iPhone time till October 9 after the technology firm sought two weeks to locate and access the requisite data, said lawyers related to the case.
