Some 12 million Yemenis could soon be on the brink of famine if the security and economic situation in the war-ravaged country does not improve, the UN warned.

Yemen has been torn apart by more than three years of civil war. The conflict between the Saudi-led coalition and the Houthi rebels has left thousands dead.

The food crisis has deepened as communities are being displaced.

The UN has dubbed it world's worst humanitarian crisis.
