Turkey’s military says a helicopter has crashed on the outskirts of the capital Ankara, killing four soldiers on board.

The military says the S-0 Sikorsky crashed Tuesday during a test flight following its regular maintenance. It did not say whether anyone survived.

It said the cause of the crash is not immediately known and an investigation has been launched.

Television footage showed the mangled wreckage of the helicopter in a field.
