Attacks across Iraq kill at least 31

Iraqi officials raised the death toll in the day’s attacks across the country to 31.

Police officials said the attacks have also left dozens wounded.

They said the deadliest of the attacks on Sunday was in the southern city of Hillah, where back-to-back car bombings hit a commercial market, killing eight people and wounding 22.

Other attacks struck at outdoor markets and bus stations in the cities of Diwaniyah, Basra, Kut, Samarra, Madain and Mahmoudiyah, killing a total of 23 people.
