Meet the world’s oldest newlyweds

A 103-year-old man and a 91-year-old woman in the U.K. have become the world’s oldest newlyweds after tying the knot in a small ceremony in which the beaming bride was seen pushing the groom around in his wheelchair.

Kirby met Luckie when he was 76 and just divorced, while Luckie had become a widow three years earlier, in 1988.

“It’s about time, really. Doreen keeps me young and I can definitely say we’re going to spend the rest of our lives together,” said Kirby outside the venue at a hotel in Eastbourne, East Sussex.

“I was a bit giddy. It was such a lovely day and great to see everyone,” Luckie said.

The two — who have seven children, 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren between them — have been together for 27 years.
