Tsunami warning cancelled for Alaska's Aleutians

A tsunami warning has been cancelled for parts of the Aleutian Islands of Alaska after a 7.1-magnitude earthquake was recorded in the Pacific Ocean.

Officials cancelled the warning early on Friday morning after only a small wave was recorded in the remote community of Atka.

State emergency officials said some Atka residents had evacuated to higher ground when the all clear was given.
