Roadside bombing kills four Afghan policemen

Four policemen were killed when a roadside bomb struck their vehicle in southern Afghanistan, police said Saturday.

The incident took place Friday night in the Spin Boldak district near the border with Pakistan, said Zia Durrani, police spokesman for Kandahar province. He said one police officer was injured.

Nobody claimed responsibility for the attack, but Taliban militants frequently use roadside and suicide bombs to target Afghan security forces and foreign troops.
