8 dead, 3 missing in Nepal landslides

At least eight people were killed with three more missing in fresh landslides in two districts in Nepal on Monday, according to police.

Five people were killed after three houses got buried in a landslide in Baramphi village in Sindhupalchowk district in the central part of the country. While four of them were found dead in the debris, an injured woman succumbed to her injuries at a hospital.

Meanwhile, bodies of the three of the four restaurant staff who went missing in a landslide were later recovered. The fourth person is still missing. The landslides have been caused by incessant rain over the past two weeks.
