Shiranthi Rajapaksa, former first lady of Sri Lanka, was on Monday questioned for over two hours by officials of the Financial Crimes Investigation Division (FCID) about her involvement in an alleged case of corruption.
The case pertains to transactions concerning a bank account which the authorities consider to be fake, Ruwan Gunasekara, Assistant Superintendent of Police and the police department’s spokesperson, told The Hindu .
