Air Arabia, a low-cost airline based in the United Arab Emirates, says it is suspending flights to Qatar along with other Emirati airlines over the growing diplomatic crisis. It said that its flights will be suspended from Tuesday “until further notice.”

With this, Air Arabia joins a long list of airlines that have suspended their services to Doha. Earlier on Monday, Bahrain, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the UAE had all cut their diplomatic ties with Qatar over its support to Islamist groups and its relations with Iran.

The other airlines which have suspended their flights to Qatar include Saudi Arabian Airlines, FlyDubai, Emirates and Etihad.

Saudi Arabian Airlines, also known as Saudia, posted on Twitter on Monday afternoon that it would be halting flights, without elaborating on its decision.

Dubai’s budget carrier FlyDubai too said that all their flights would be suspended, starting Tuesday.

Another Dubai-based airline, Emirates said on it’s website that flights would be suspended until further notice starting Tuesday.

The Abu Dhabi-based airline Etihad said on its website that its last flights “until further notice” would leave early Tuesday morning. Etihad is the flag carrier of the United Arab Emirates.

None of the airlines gave any reason for the decision.
