Police shoot masked man after attack on Swedish school

The local Goteborg Tidning daily said six people four students, one adult and the perpetrator have been injured in the attack.

Swedish police say they have shot a masked man who attacked a school in southern Sweden, injuring at least one person.

Students fled on Thursday morning from the Kronan school in Trollhattan, near Goteborg, Sweden’s second-largest city. The school has 400 students, ranging from pre-school to high school.

Police in Trollhattan said the attack took place in the school’s cafe area. They had no immediate report on the conditions of the attacker or the other injured person.

The local Goteborg Tidning daily said six people four students, one adult and the perpetrator have been injured in the attack. A live feed on its web site showed people standing outside a red-brick building with police cars and ambulances parked outside.
