Pakistan’s ‘heaviest’ man dies in hospital

The man who weighed over 330 kg, died after he was left unattended due to a commotion in the intensive care unit

Pakistan’s heaviest man, who weighed over 330 kg and recently underwent a successful liposuction surgery, died here on Monday after he was left unattended due to a commotion in the intensive care unit (ICU) of a hospital here, according to a media report.

Noorul Hassan, 55, a resident of Sadiqabad, underwent the weight reduction surgery on June 28 after he was air lifted on a Army helicopter to Lahore on the directives from Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa.

After the surgery, he was shifted to the ICU to be kept under observation. On Monday, Mr. Hassan died after he was left unattended following a chaos by the attendants of a patient who passed away at the Shalamar Hospital.
