A bomb exploded at a Houthi mosque in the Yemeni capital Sana’a on Friday, wounding 13 people, a security source said, and the Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attack in a statement on Twitter.

"If there was an explosion it has already happened in Sana’a in the people's district in a Houthi mosque. The Islamic state claims responsibility," said the group.

According to a security source, two out of the 13 wounded were in critical condition.
