U.S. President Donald Trump congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the BJP victory in Uttar Pradesh, White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer said on Monday. A readout on the conversation would be available later, Mr. Spicer said. This is the third telephone conversation between the two leaders since Mr. Trump’s victory on November 8, 2016.

Mr. Modi had congratulated Mr. Trump after this victory in November and again after his inauguration on January 20, 2017. Both leaders have invited each other to visit their countries. The BJP has won a massive victory in the recent election in Uttar Pradesh.
