Pakistani intelligence officials say two U.S. missile strikes have killed at least six people near the Afghan border.

The two officials said Wednesday’s strikes, which came minutes apart, hit a vehicle and a motorcycle in a forested area of South Waziristan.

The identities of those killed were not immediately clear.

The two officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak to the media.

Such attacks are carried out by CIA, but Washington rarely acknowledges them.

Pakistan has officially protested such strikes, saying they violate its sovereignty and deepen anti—U.S. sentiment in the country.
