Saudi Arabia’s foreign minister is warning that his government will take stiff action against foreign protesters.

Prince Saud al—Faisal says dialogue, not protests, is the way to achieve reforms.

Activists in Saudi Arabia’s Shiite Muslim minority have issued Internet calls for a “Day of Rage” on Friday.

Following popular protests in other Arab countries, they have staged small demonstrations in the eastern part of the country. The government charges that Shiites from outside the country have spurred the protests.

Prince Al—Faisal spoke on Wednesday at Saudi Arabia’s port of Jiddah. Using a figure of speech, he said his regime would “cut off the any finger” raised against the regime.

The Interior Ministry has banned demonstrations on grounds they contradict Islamic laws and values.
