The former Sri Lankan Prime Minister, Ranil Wickremesinghe, on Wednesday termed the arrest of General (retired) Sarath Fonseka murder of democracy. Mr. Wickremesinghe, who arrived here on his way to Colombo said: “I have already condemned the arrest of Mr. Fonseka.” No one would accept President Mahinda Rajapaksa’s act, he said, adding that the government should conduct a proper probe, and if Mr. Fonseka was found guilty, he should be proceeded against as per law.
