Krishna condoles death of Polish President

External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna on Saturday said he was deeply shocked and saddened over the death of Polish President Lech Kaczynski and his wife in a plane crash in Russia and described him as a good friend of India.

“Lech Kaczynski was a leading polish personality of high stature and a good friend of India,” Mr. Krishna said in a condolence message here.

“We very much share the grief of the people of Poland and hope that his family members can find the strength to recover from the untimely loss,” Mr. Krishna said.
