Germany’s foreign minister says that a foreign military action against Libya would be counterproductive and called for additional sanctions against Qadhafi’s regime.

Guido Westerwelle says the current sanctions are not enough and it would be a “wise proposal to freeze every money flow to Libya in the coming months.”

Mr. Westerwelle said on Thursday that would help isolate Qadhafi and his family.
