The blizzard that draped the U.S. capital in a blanket of white isn’t keeping President Barack Obama from his appointed rounds.

A convoy of sport utility vehicles has left the White House for a hotel just a few blocks away where Mr. Obama planned to speak to party activists at the winter meeting of the Democratic National Committee.

Mr. Obama was sticking to his schedule because DNC delegates already were in town before the big snowstorm and because the meeting was nearby.
