25 injured in bus accident in Germany

German news agency DAPD reported that a bus from Poland left the A4 highway near Hohenstein—Ernstthal early Saturday morning and landed on its side in a ditch. The cause of the accident was not clear.

Police say a bus accident on a highway in the eastern German state of Saxony has injured 25 people, 11 of them severely.

German news agency DAPD reported that a bus from Poland left the A4 highway near Hohenstein—Ernstthal early Saturday morning and landed on its side in a ditch. The cause of the accident was not clear.

Police said the 11 severely injured passengers were brought to hospitals, while the others were taken to a nearby police precinct where they were examined by medical staff.

The bus was on its way from Dresden to Erfurt.
