President Pranab Mukherjee led India's condemnation of the serial terror attacks in Paris late Friday evening, and expressed solidarity with French nationals reeling from the attack that has left up to 121 people dead and over 81 injured in separate incidents. "I strongly condemn terrorist attacks in Paris, my heart goes out to its people," he said in a statement.
Vice President Hamid Ansari said, "India stood with the people of France and commend their swift action in dealing with the attackers."
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on a visit to the United Kingdom and scheduled to visit the French Capital later this month for Climate Change talks tweeted his condolences. "News from Paris is anguishing and dreadful. Prayers with the families of the deceased. We are united with the people of France in this tragic hour," he said.

Congress president Sonia Gandhi too expressed her "deep shock and anguish" at the attacks in Paris.
Congress general secretary Randeep Singh Surjewala drew equivalency between the Paris attacks and the attacks in Mumbai in November 2008, and other dates. "ISIS and Al Qaida's barbaric terror has never deterred but firmed our resolve to fight terrorism with rigor, be it 26/11, 9/11 or 14/15," he said.

Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi also condemned the attacks.
“Strongly condemn the terrorist attack in Paris. My thoughts & prayers are with the people of France in this hour of grief and anguish,” he tweeted.
“Terror cannot defeat freedom and liberty, it will only strengthen our resolve to fight against this senseless violence,” he said.
