To celebrate Labour Day or May Day, Google Doodle came up with a doodle to mark the public holiday with a display of manual labour tools and a pair of gloves. Labour Day that has its origins in the United States of America celebrates the achievements of labourers in their day-to-day lives.
The day started off after the onset of the Labour Union Movement which stressed on eight hours for work, eight hours for rest and eight hours for recreation.
