Health Minister Malladi Krishna Rao on Tuesday laid the foundation stone for a 50-bed AYUSH hospital in Yanam region, an enclave of the Union Territory in Andhra Pradesh and distributed welfare assistance on the occasion of the government’s completion of one-year in office.

A release said Mr. Rao inaugurated the Sports Authority of India (SAI) training centre to provide training in swimming, shuttle badminton, kabbadi and volleyball.

He distributed the second and third instalment of housing subsidy under the Perunthalaivar Kamarajar Housing Scheme through the Puducherry Slum Clearance Board.
