The Pondicherry University has decided to dispose obsolete, unserviceable and unusable computer peripherals.

M. Vallathan, Assistant Registrar (Stores) has asked all directors, Heads of Departments and centre heads to furnish details of such materials.

According to a circular issued by Mr. Vallathan, the Union government had sent information to all government organisations to take up the cleaning of premises during this week. Upkeep and cleaning of offices, including common area premises, toilets, stairs and parking lots, would be carried out.

Unusable vehicles, furniture and electronic and electrical equipment would be disposed and old files and records weeded out.

Mr. Vallathan also said that the Registrar-in-charge had issued a circular and requested to take up the activities and do the needful immediately.
