Two policemen, including a Special Sub-Inspector of Police attached to the Villupuram highway patrol, have been shifted to the Armed Reserve (AR) police as they were found to be drunk while on duty on Sunday night.
Superintendent of Police S. Jeyakumar ordered the transfer of SSI Harikrishnan and constable Ilango following complaints. The two policemen were shifted to the AR Police for dereliction of duty.
