Two persons were killed after lightning struck them at Sothikuppam near the Cuddalore port on Monday.
The victims, R. Arun Prasath, 26, and S. Kumar, 25, were riding a two-wheeler to Mandarakuppam.
Due to heavy rain, they had stopped their vehicle on the roadside to find shelter when the lightning hit.
The Cuddalore port police sent their bodies to the Government District Headquarters Hospital in Cuddalore for post-mortem.
A case has been registered.
