Three killed as bike hits lorry near Villianur

The victims were riding triples

Riding triples proved fatal for three persons after their motorcycle collided with a lorry at Vadamangalam near Villianur here early on Sunday.

The names of the victims were given as Manikandan, 25, a hotelier of Pallithennal; Ramzan Ali, 24, and Azhaurudin Khan, 25, of West Bengal.

The police said Manikandan was riding the motorcycle with others being his pillion.

At Pallithennal, a lorry hit the motorcycle Azhaurudin Khan on the spot. Ramzan Ali died on the way to the hospital while Manikandan died of injuries at the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (Jipmer). A case has been registered.
