The Employees Joint Action Council (E-JAC) at Pondicherry University has said that the stir by a section of the faculty against Vice Chancellor Chandra Krishnamurthy was driven by “ulterior motive” and only served to malign the reputation of the institution.

In a statement, the E-JAC said the reference by a small group of faculty members who were leading the agitation to a fact-finding report of the MHRD had not reached the University, and hence, the institution had nothing to act upon in this regard.
