For easy mobility: Minister M. Kandasamy and Parliamentary Secretary to CM K. Lakshminarayanan handing over scooters to the disabled in Puducherry on Thursday.
Social Welfare Minister M. Kandasamy on Thursday distributed specially designed scooters to persons with disabilities from the Assembly constituencies of Kalapet, Mudaliarpet, Raj Bhavan and Manaveli at the Legislative Assembly.
According to a release, Mr. Kandasamy distributed the scooters each worth ₹55,000 to nine beneficiaries under a scheme of the Social Welfare Department.
Parliamentary Secretary to Chief Minister K. Lakshminarayanan was present.
