Special camps will be held in all polling stations in the Union Territory on May 24.

It is being held to ensure a fool proof and authenticated electoral roll under the National Electoral Roll Purification and Authentication Programme (NEERPAP).

Aadhaar details

In a release, Chief Electoral Officer V. Candavelou said that voters could provide the details of Aadhaar card to the booth-level officers at polling stations during the camps between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Electors should visit their polling stations and submit their Aadhaar particulars, mobile number, e-mail to the Booth Level Officers present in the polling stations which would be linked to the elector rolls.

Electors can also apply for corrections if any pertaining to their name, house number, relation name and also apply for voluntary deletion in case of multiple entries.

Electors are informed that deletion if any will be made only after following due procedure of law and mere non possession of Aadhaar card will not make an elector liable for deletion. The Chief Electoral Officer further appealed to the voters to make use of the camps being held and ensure that the electoral roll was fully authenticated.
