As many as seven persons belonging to Hindu Makkal Katchi were arrested here on Monday for attempting to stage a protest against Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra. Police said the outfit had planned the protest at the Villupuram Head Post office to express their displeasure over the recent Supreme Court judgment decriminalising adultery.
The police arrested the outfit's State organising secretary Asaithambi, Manjini, Deva, Balaji Murugan and three others.
