Welcoming the new year with music will be Alan Rego and Alchemy who will perform retro classics and soft rock at the SecSat Pondy concert on January 10. Alan Rego and Alchemy comprise of singer Mr. Rego, Nestor Lasrado on bass and Lebin Thomas on drums. Apart from numbers by Paul Simon, Roy Orbison, Bryan Adams, Bob Marley, Police and Cliff Richard, the audience can expect some ‘decompositions of standards’ from them. With Pongal around the corner, folk music artists P Dhatchinamoorthy and Abishegapakkam Brothers Mangala Isai and Kalai Kuzhu will present catchy melodies set to the pulsating rhythms of traditional music. SecSat Pondy, held by the Department of Tourism in association with event management company Scene, is held on second Saturdays at 8 p.m. at Seagulls Restaurant on Beach Road.
