The National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme will observe World Health Day on April 7, 2014, with a seminar at Kamban Kalai Arangam, Puducherry on vector-borne diseases, small creatures, big threat. The theme of the programme will be to protect the people from vector-borne diseases(VBD). The objective will be to create awareness on control and preventive measures against malaria, dengue, chikungunya and filariasis.
Stakeholders, health institutions, SHGs, NGOs, voluntary organisations, students and public are expected to attend. Para medical students of health institutions will participate in a rally from the Bharathidasan Government College for Women to Kamban Kalai Arangam.
