Lieutenant Governor Kiran Bedi directed the Information and Publicity Department to expeditiously prepare a media policy.
Ms. Bedi, in a statement after inspecting the I&P office, said “The department shall take expeditious action to notify a media policy that shall be holistic to address all matters relating to the press.”
She had also directed the department to take corrective steps in hosting its website. The department was mandated to showcase the achievements of the government as a whole. It should also bring out an annual publication of achievements of the various departments in a captivating manner, she said. Ms. Bedi also took up with the department officials the grievances of the press fraternity.
