Students belonging to Kanchi Mamunivar Centre for post-graduate studies, Bharathiyar Palkalaikoodam and Saradha Gangadharan College, Velrampet, won the first, second and third prize respectively in a painting competition organised by Renewable Energy Agency of Puducherry (REAP) in co-ordination with Bureau of Energy Efficiency here recently. The first prize winners were given ₹10,000, second ₹5,000 and ₹3,000 each. The subject given to the students was “space cooling through optimum temperature setting of AC- 24 degree,” a release from REAP said. Ten students participated in the competition. Secretary, Power and Vice-chairman of REAP, Devesh Singh, distributed prizes to the winners at a function recently.
