An awareness rally marked the celebration of World ORS (Oral Rehydration Salts) Day by Sabari College of Nursing.

Principal P. Genesta Mary Gysel flagged off the rally which started from Bharathidasan Thidal and concluded at the Gandhi Statue. Students and teachers of Sabari College of Nursing, RAAK College of Nursing, Vinayaga Mission College of Nursing participated in the rally, which featured around 300 students carrying posters and placards.

EEE Association launched

The Department of EEE in IFET College of Engineering, Villupuram, hosted the launch of the EEE Association to conduct the annual activities for 2019-20.

G.N. Shanmugam, Deputy Chief Engineer, in his inaugural address emphasised the importance of renewable energy resources, particularly solar power generation, and distribution to develop a sustainable electricity system.

Chairman K.V. Raja, vice-chairman A. Mohamed Ilyas, secretary K. Shivram Alva, principal G. Mahendran, vice-principal & dean academics S. Matilda, Controller of Examinations P. Pugazhendiran, J. Asha., Head-IFET Research Centre, Dean Placement A. John Dhanaseely, and Head-EEE M. Sujith participated.

Heads of various departments, faculty members and students from various institutions attended the seminar that followed. This event was coordinated by T. Rampradesh and R. Suganya, Department of EEE.

One-day workshop

on securities market

The Department of Business Administration, Annamalai University organised a one-day workshop on “Emerging trends in Securities Market” for second year MBA students.

E. Selvarajan, Dean, Faculty of Arts, in his inaugural address encouraged students to update their knowledge in the securities market to enhance their employment opportunities.

K. Prabhaharan, NSE Academy, Chennai, in a special address pointed out that the securities market held vast potential for the future.

A. Rajamohan, Professor & Head, DBA, in his presidential address urged students to gain exposure in the operations of the securities market in dual role of investor and advisor.

G. Udhayasuriyan, professor, DBA, A.A. Ananth, professor and workshop convener, A. Karthikeyan, assistant professor, K. Gunasekaran, T. Elayaraja, K. Chezian participated.

Devotional

music CD released

A music CD titled ‘Sarva Sayee Arulamutham’ composed by Srirangam Sakthi Rajalakshmi Rajagopalan was released at E.S Engineering College auditorium in Villupuram.

The music collection is on Sri Shirdi Sai Baba, Satya Sai Baba and Prema Saibaba.

The function was presided over by S.Selvamani, Chairman, E.S Group of Institutions, Villupuram. Elumalai Polytechnic College Principal M. Agoram welcomed the gathering. Founder chairman of E.S Group E.Swamikannu released the CD by handing over the first copy to S.Saravanan, Villupuram and Tiruvannamalai District Head, Sai Seva Institutions.

The 78-year-old composer was felicitated on the occasion. The Director of Elumalai Polytechnic College, Principals of E.S Group of Institutions as well as professors, faculty and members of Sathya Sai Seva Institutions and people from all walks of life participated.
