NLC student bags State second rank

Students of the three Government aided higher secondary schools run by the Neyveli Lignite Corporation have fared well in the recent Plus Two examinations.

Of the 1,039 students who appeared for the examination, 863 students passed the test to record an overall success rate of 83 per cent.

C. Dhivya of Block-11, NLC Girls Higher Secondary School secured state third rank in the “Draft Civil” subject by securing 199 marks out of 200.

The school enjoyed the highest pass percentage of 92 among NLC-run schools with 495 of the 540 students who took the examination getting through.

Of the 240 students of NLC Boys Hr. Sec. School, 168 boys passed the examination.

By this, the school registered a pass percentage of 70 while of the 259 students of NLC Hr. Sec. School, Mandarakuppam 200 students passed in the examination. The school registered a pass percentage of 78.
