Newborn baby boy found abandoned

A newborn baby boy was found abandoned amidst bushes close to a railway track at Kandamangalam on Monday. Police sources said that locals heard the faint cries of a baby and found the newborn that could be less than three days old wrapped in a piece of cloth. The residents informed 108 ambulance service and Childline and the baby was taken to the Kandamangalam Primary health centre. Police are trying to trace the whereabouts of his parents.
