NEET candidate’sfather dies

Srinivasan, 50, who had accompanied his daughter Swathi to take the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) here died in Puducherry on Monday.

A resident of Angachettypalayam in Panruti in Cuddalore district, Srinivasan was employed in a private firm in Melmaruvathur.

Srinivasan along with his wife and two daughters reached Puducherry on Sunday morning. While the family was waiting outside Saradha Gangadharan College in Velrampet, where Swathi was writing the entrance examination, Srinivasan complained of chest pain. The family rushed him immediately to the Government General Hospital in Puducherry.

Srinivasan died on Monday morning in the Government General Hospital.
